regarding Chapter 16: Urban Street Facilities

Are the arterial classes (1 through 4) that were used in HCM 2000 for urban streets not used in HCM 2010 anymore? It does not seem like they are used anywhere in the new manual, so just wanted to confirm. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Yes, there are no longer arterial classification categories. There is a single set of automobile service measure thresholds (Exhibit 17-2) that are applied to all arterials.
