All, wondering if anyone else has experienced an increase in delay for exclusive right-turning movements at signalized intersections as compared to the 2000 version? We have noticed a larger than expected increase in delay for higher right-turning volumes (200 vph or higher) in the 2010 version as compared to the 2000 HCM. We have made adjustments to our analysis, given the limitations of the 2010 version with regard to free and channelized right-turns, but tend to see a bigger than normal increase in delay for permitted right-turns in an exclusive right-turn lane at a signalized intersection.
